Text: 2Samuel 7:1-11, 16
First Thoughts: In
addition to the shepherds, the Holy Family and the angels, there is one more
character who is present at the first Christmas. Everything takes place in Bethlehem, the City
of David. In Today’s Old Testament
lesson, we take a break from Isaiah and learn how “the hopes and fears of all
years” converged in that little town.
