Bethany's Wednesday Word Bible Study is exploring songs from the Old Testament alongside some of our Advent hymns. Today's session was "Savior of the Nations, Come" where we looked at Psalm 2. "I have begotten you" could be taken very loosely when thinking of King David, who sat on the throne in Jerusalem. But, when thinking of David's ancestor, Jesus, we go to a different level as we ponder One "begotten of His Father before all ages...".
1. Savior of the nations, come,Virgin's Son, make here Thy home!Marvel now, O heaven and earth,That the Lord chose such a birth.
