Sermon Notes for January 15, 2012

“What Hath God Wrought?”

First Thoughts: In May of 1844 the Samuel Morse broadcast the first telegraph message from the Supreme Court to the B & O Railroad station in Baltimore.  It was rather prophetic that Mr. Morse’s first name was Samuel – the Biblical judge who receives a transmission from the Divine.  By embracing the power of God’s Word, none of Samuel’s words “fall to the ground.”

Outline:
I.          Words Unveiled (vs. 1-10)
II.         Words Unbound (vs. 11-18)
III.       Words Upheld (vs. 19, 20)

I preach this Sunday at Bethany Lutheran Church are at 8:30 & 11 EST with Sunday School for all ages in between.  World Music Worship will be a short prayer service this Sunday at 12:30, as the pastors will be traveling to Our Savior Lutheran Church in Laurel for the Ordination of Pastor J. Orlando Flahn.
