10 Now, therefore, why are you putting God to the test by
placing a yoke on the neck of the disciples that neither our fathers nor we
have been able to bear? 11 But we believe that we will be saved through the
grace of the Lord Jesus, just as they will.”
Acts 15
9 and when James and Cephas and
John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that was
given to me, they gave the right hand of fellowship to Barnabas and me,
that we should go to the Gentiles and they to the circumcised.
Galatians 2
This Sunday, Bethany Lutheran will observe the minor feast
of St. Peter and St. Paul. We celebrate the ministries of Peter and Paul
together to emphasize the unity of the church. In the lessons from Acts and
Galatians, I hope to connect us to the unity we have in the Gospel that 1) frees
us, 2) forgives us and 3) holds the church together.
Join the Bethany family on Sunday, June 29 at 10!
